Littlecroft is in Alnmouth. The house is on the main road through the village, so you’ll see cars go by, but you’re right in the middle of everything. It’s a big house, sleeps eight, five bedrooms. It’s got a 4 Star rating, so it’s comfortable and well-kept.
You can walk to the beach in two minutes. It’s a good beach, estuary and sand dunes. The village itself is pretty, all coloured houses. There’s a shop about 50 yards away and a pub practically next door.
The house has a private garden, which is terraced so it’s on different levels. It gets the sun. Inside, it’s open plan in parts. There’s a wood-burning stove. We’ve put in a dishwasher and a washing machine. All the bedding and towels are included. You can bring one well-behaved dog.
For things to do, Alnmouth has a golf course. You can walk along the coast path from the village. Warkworth is a nice walk along the coast if you’re keen, or a short drive. Its castle is good. Alnwick is about ten minutes by car. The castle is famous, and the gardens are worth a visit. Bamburgh is about twenty minutes north. The castle there is massive, right on the beach.
