Alncroft
Alncroft is in Longhoughton, about halfway between Craster and Alnwick. It's a stone cottage from the 1840s. The village is quiet.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. One of the bathrooms is downstairs. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well looked after. The windows are sash windows, so they work like old windows do.
There's a shop 200 yards away. The nearest pub is about a mile and a half. For a good meal out, you're looking at a couple of miles.
The coast is less than a mile away. There's a sandy bay there, and the coastal path runs right past it. That's part of the Northumberland Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The beaches around here are very good. Empty, mostly.
Alnwick is four miles away. The castle is there, and the gardens. You can visit Alnwick Castle if you want. Craster is famous for kippers, if that's your thing.
In terms of what's here, there's a washing machine, dishwasher, TV, and wifi. The garden is enclosed. You can bring two dogs. There's parking on site. Bedding and towels are included. We leave a bottle of wine for you when you arrive.
For planning, the Northumberland National Park website is useful, and the National Trust has a lot of properties nearby.
