Cuthbert Cottage is in Craster, right opposite the sea. It's an end-terrace cottage. You can hear the waves from the front room.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. We did it up a few years ago, so it's in good shape. The stairs are steep, like a lot of these old places.
The bathroom has a walk-in shower. The kitchen is new. It has a dishwasher and a washer-dryer. There's a wood burner in the front room. Outside is a small patio with a table and chairs.
You can bring one dog. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking for one car on the street right outside.
The Jolly Fisherman pub is about a minute's walk. They do good food. The smokehouse for the famous kippers is just down the road at the harbour.
You're on the coast path here. It's about a 40-minute walk along the cliffs to Dunstanburgh Castle. You can drive to Alnwick Castle and Gardens in about 25 minutes. Seahouses, for boat trips to the Farne Islands, is a 15-minute drive.
