Sheilas Cottage
Sheilas Cottage is in Christon Bank, near Embleton. It's a semi-detached cottage surrounded by farmland. The main thing is the view. You're looking out over fields with horses in them. It's very quiet.
It got a 4 Star rating after a refurbishment a few years ago. It sleeps four. There are three bedrooms upstairs and one bathroom downstairs. The stairs are a typical cottage staircase.
The living room has an open fire. The garden is enclosed, which is good if you have children, and it's just lawn and shrubs. You can sit out there and look at the view.
There's a local shop and a pub about a mile away in Christon Bank. For a beach, Embleton Bay is a couple of miles east. It's a really good, sandy beach. Craster is about three miles south. You can get kippers there.
Seahouses is a few miles north. That's where you get the boats to the Farne Islands to see the puffins and seals. Alnwick Castle and its gardens are about a twenty minute drive inland.
In terms of what's here: all the bedding and towels are included. There's a washing machine, a TV, and WiFi. Parking is right outside. There's a highchair if you need one. No pets, sorry.
