So this is Jimbow. It's in Beadnell, on the Northumberland coast. It's a modern townhouse, so it's easy to keep warm and everything works. You can walk to the beach and the harbour in a couple of minutes.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms upstairs and one bathroom downstairs. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped.
The garden is enclosed, which is handy. Parking is right outside.
Beadnell itself is quiet. There's a shop a bit up the road and a pub about half a mile away. The beach is sandy and good for a proper walk, or if you're into sailing or kitesurfing.
Seahouses is just along the coast. From there you can get boat trips out to the Farne Islands to see the puffins and seals. I'd book that in advance. Bamburgh Castle is about three miles to the north. You can see it from the beach on a clear day. Alnwick is twelve miles inland. They've got the castle and the gardens, which are worth a visit.
Inside, you've got your basics: washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's no central heating, but the storage heaters and electric fire do the job. No pets allowed I'm afraid.
For planning, the main sites are National Trust North East, Northumberland Coast National Landscape, and English Heritage for the castles.
