Dawson Beach House

Dawson Beach House is on Crewe Street in Seahouses. It's a terraced house, set back a bit from the harbour, and it looks straight out over the water to Bamburgh Castle and the Farne Islands. The view is the main thing.

It sleeps four. There are two bedrooms, one double and one twin, and a family bathroom. The twin room has its own shower ensuite. It's got a 4 Star rating so it's well looked after. The living room and kitchen are on the top floor. There's a glass door there that opens onto a small, enclosed balcony. You can stand out there with a coffee.

There's off-road parking in a car port right at the front, which is useful in Seahouses.

The house is about a minute's walk from the harbour. The beach is shingle and sand. You've got pubs, fish and chip shops, and boat trips all on your doorstep. For a longer walk, you can follow the coast path north to Bamburgh, which is about three miles. Bamburgh Castle is worth a visit.

Further afield, Alnwick Castle and its gardens are about a 20-minute drive south. The Holy Island causeway is about a 25-minute drive north, but you must check the tide times. The Cheviot hills are maybe 40 minutes inland if you fancy a change from the coast.

In terms of what's here: there's a washing machine, a dishwasher, WiFi, a highchair and a cot. The parking is included. There's a small patio area. No pets, I'm afraid.
