Friarystone Cottage is near Bamburgh. It's a bungalow, so it's all on one level. There's a big garden that looks out over fields. It's detached, so no neighbours on the other side of a wall.
It sleeps six people in three bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, both with a walk in shower.
It's got a five star rating which is high, but it just means everything is in good order and the place is comfortable. The doors are wide enough for a wheelchair to get through, but the internal layout isn't quite right for full wheelchair use. There are no steps up to the front door or into the garden.
You can walk into Bamburgh village easily. The castle and the big beach are there. There's a good pub. The local golf course has quite a view towards the islands.
Seahouses is a couple of miles away. That's where you get the boat trips out to the Farne Islands. They go from the harbour.
A bit further inland is Alnwick, about seven miles. The castle and gardens are there. If you head west, you're into Northumberland National Park in around half an hour.
What's here: parking, a washing machine and dishwasher, wifi, a cot and highchair if you need them. Bedding and towels are included. There's a barbecue in the garden. You can't bring pets.
