Cheviot Cottage is a small place for two people on the Bluebell Farm caravan park in Belford. You get your own building, it's detached from the others. There's a small patio area at the front.
It's all on one level, which is good, but you need to go up four steps from the lane to get to the front door. Inside it's fine. It's got a 3 Star rating. It’s clean and comfortable, not luxurious. The bed is a double.
The park is just off the main A1 road. You can hear a bit of traffic sometimes, but it's handy for getting around. Belford village is a short walk away. There are a couple of pubs that do food, a small shop, and a cafe.
You're in a good spot here. The coast is very close. Bamburgh is about ten minutes' drive. The beach is huge and the castle is massive. Bamburgh Castle is National Trust if you're a member.
Going the other way, you've got the Cheviot hills. Wooler is about fifteen minutes drive and that's where the proper walking starts. The St Cuthbert's Way path goes through there. Northumberland National Park covers a lot of it.
Alnwick and its castle are about twenty minutes south. Berwick-upon-Tweed is about the same north. Both have big supermarkets and more shops.
Facilities: There's parking right outside. The WiFi works. There's a TV. Bedding and towels are included. One well-behaved dog is allowed. There isn't a washing machine in the cottage, but there's a launderette on the park if you need it.
