It's called St Abbs Cottage. It's in Belford, on a quiet dead end road at the end of a terrace of four. It overlooks the burn. Bluebell Farm caravan park is right next door, which is fine, just so you know it's there. There's also a public launderette in the building next door if you need it.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating. That's about right. It's clean and comfortable, not luxurious. The garden is enclosed. There's parking.
Belford is a handy little village. It's got a couple of pubs that do food, a cafe or two, shops, and a small hotel. A bus goes through. It's a good base.
Bamburgh is about five miles east. The castle is massive. The beach is huge and sandy. It's very good. Holy Island, with Lindisfarne Priory, is about a 15 minute drive away, but you have to check the tide times for the crossing.
Further along the coast, you've got Seahouses for boat trips to the Farne Islands to see the seals and puffins. Alnwick Castle and its gardens are about a 20 minute drive south. The Northumberland National Park starts inland from there.
Facilities: there's WiFi, a washing machine, a cot and highchair if you need them, bedding is included. You can bring up to two dogs. There's a BBQ and an enclosed garden.
