Miller's Cottage is in Belford, right in the middle of the village. It's a Grade II listed cottage, which mainly means the walls are thick and the windowsills are deep. You get the whole ground floor to yourselves.
It sleeps four in two bedrooms. There's one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well kept. The living room has an electric wood burner in the fireplace. It works well, it's just not a real fire.
The kitchen has what you need. There's a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. You can park on site.
Outside, there's a shared courtyard with a seating area. You can hear the stream from there. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
The village shop, a pub, and a couple of places to eat are about a hundred yards away. It's handy. There are buses from the village that go to Bamburgh and Seahouses if you don't fancy driving.
Bamburgh is about ten minutes by car. The castle and the beach are the main things. Seahouses is where you go for boat trips to the Farne Islands, or for fish and chips. Holy Island is about a twenty-minute drive, but you must check the tide times for the causeway.
For walks, the coast is three miles away. You can be on the beach or the coastal path very quickly. Inland, the roads are quiet and good for cycling.
