The Old Reading Room is a cottage in Bamburgh. It's down a small lane off the main street. It's stone built and detached. You can't miss the castle, it's right there. The beach is about a five minute walk.
It sleeps three. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's clean and comfortable but not high-end. The walls are thick stone, so it stays cool in summer. The wifi works.
You're right in the village. There are a couple of pubs, a few places to eat, and shops all within a couple of minutes' walk. The beach is massive. It's good for walks, even if it's windy.
The Grace Darling Museum is just up the road if you're interested in that. For a bigger day out, Alnwick Castle and its gardens are about a 20 minute drive. Holy Island is about 15 minutes away by car, but you must check the tide times.
Facilities: there's a washing machine, an enclosed patio area at the back, parking for one car, and all the bedding and towels are provided. No pets.
