Northern Hideaways Seahouses
Northern Hideaways is a stone cottage in Seahouses. It's a five-star place, which means it's comfortable and finished to a high standard. It sleeps four people in two king-size bedrooms. There's one bathroom.
The main thing is the location. You're a couple of minutes' walk from the harbour and the high street. There are shops, pubs, and restaurants there. The nearest beach is about a ten minute walk.
The cottage has been done up. It's got beams and a wood burner in the living room. There's a 42-inch TV with internet apps. The bedrooms are spacious. Outside, there are two patio areas with furniture.
You can walk along the coast to Bamburgh Castle. It's famous, and the beach there is long and clean. Boat trips to the Farne Islands leave from Seahouses harbour. They're good for seeing seabirds and seals. The National Trust looks after them.
Further afield, Alnwick Castle and its gardens are about a twenty minute drive. Hadrian's Wall is under an hour away. English Heritage has information on the forts there. Newcastle is just over an hour's drive if you want a city day.
Facilities: there's parking at the cottage. It has WiFi, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. A travel cot and highchair are available if you need them. One well-behaved dog is welcome. The entrance is level, so it's suitable for wheelchair users.
