Beadnell itself is a small village right on the coast. The beach is a few minutes' walk away. It's a long, sandy beach that's good for swimming and walking. The local pub is also within walking distance.
You're in a good spot for exploring. Seahouses is about two miles up the road. That's where you get boat trips out to the Farne Islands to see the seabirds and seals. Bamburgh Castle is about four miles, and Lindisfarne Priory on Holy Island is about a 25-minute drive, but you have to check the tide times for the crossing.
Further afield, Alnwick Castle and its gardens are about half an hour south. The Northumberland National Park starts inland from there if you want proper hiking.
