Railston Cottage is in North Sunderland. It's a converted coach house, originally built in the 1820s. It sleeps six, with three bedrooms and three bathrooms, which is handy.
It's got a 4 Star rating. The place is in very good order. Downstairs is mostly open plan: kitchen, dining area, and a snug with a wood burner. There's a king-size bedroom on the ground floor too, with doors out to the garden. That bedroom uses a 'Jack and Jill' shower room, so you can access it from the hallway or the bedroom.
Upstairs are two more bedrooms, both with their own en-suites. They look out over the back garden and you can see the sea from them.
The garden is walled and enclosed, so it's private. It's a good spot if you've got dogs, we take up to two. There's parking on site.
You're basically in a village street. The local pub is a few minutes' walk. To get to the beach at Bamburgh, or the harbour in Seahouses, it's about a ten minute drive. The coastline is all National Trust land up here, so the walking is superb. Holy Island is a short drive away, but check the tide times.
For facilities, it's all there: WiFi, washing machine, dishwasher, cot and highchair. We include the bedding.
