Cloister Cottage is in Ellingham, Northumberland. It's part of the Ellingham Hall estate. You're in a quiet spot behind the main hall, with about eight acres of grounds and woodland to walk around.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 5 Star rating, so everything's in good order. The bathroom is downstairs.
There's a treehouse in the grounds that kids like. You'll see deer and squirrels in the woods.
You can walk to the village pub. It's about five minutes.
For the coast, it's about a fifteen minute drive. Beadnell and Seahouses are the closest beaches. Seahouses has boat trips out to the Farne Islands. Craster is famous for kippers and the walk to Dunstanburgh Castle. Bamburgh Castle is spectacular, and about twenty minutes by car.
Alnwick is half an hour away. That's where the castle and the Alnwick Garden are. For a bigger day out, Holy Island is about forty minutes, but you have to check the tide times.
For facilities, it's got the usual: a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside. No pets, sorry.
