Sand Castles

Sand Castles is a detached house on a quiet cul-de-sac in Seahouses. It's nothing special to look at from the road, but you get the whole place and garden to yourselves.

It sleeps six. There are four bedrooms upstairs, one has an ensuite shower, and there's a main bathroom too. Downstairs is all open plan. Big living room with a wood burner, doors to the garden, and a separate snug room off the kitchen. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-equipped.

The garden is enclosed. You can bring one well-behaved dog. Bedding and towels are included, there's a washing machine, parking, and WiFi.

You can walk to the beach in a few minutes. It's a proper Northumberland beach, so it's big and often empty. The harbour is about half a mile. That's where the boats go out to the Farne Islands. Good for seals and puffins.

Seahouses has what you need. Shops, a few pubs, cafes, a chip shop. The local golf course is just over a mile away.

Bamburgh is two miles up the coast. You can see the castle from the beach here. It's worth a visit. A bit further south, Beadnell Bay is good for windsurfing. Alnwick with its castle and gardens is about a 25 minute drive inland. Northumberland Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty has walking maps if you need them.
