Darling Cottage is in Burton, Northumberland. It's a mid-terrace cottage with neighbours on both sides. I think the location is the best bit. It's down a single track lane, so it's really quiet. You get views out over fields and you can see Bamburgh Castle on one side and the sea on the other.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and two bathrooms, which is handy. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's well looked after and comfortable. There's a wood burner in the living room. The stairs are fine. There's a patio garden with a sun deck that catches the afternoon light.
Bamburgh village is just over a mile away. You can walk it if you want. They've got a couple of pubs, some cafes, a small shop, and the castle, of course. The beach there is huge and sandy. It's a good one for a proper walk.
Seahouses is about three miles down the coast. That's where you can get boat trips out to the Farne Islands to see the puffins. They've got more shops and places to eat there too.
The Northumberland Coast Path runs close by if you like walking. You're right on it for exploring. Holy Island is about a 15-minute drive away, but you have to check the tide times for the causeway.
For things a bit further out, Alnwick with its castle and gardens is about half an hour's drive. Berwick-upon-Tweed is maybe 25 minutes. Both are worth a visit.
In terms of what's there: it's got parking, an electric vehicle charger, a washing machine, a dishwasher, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs. The garden is enclosed, which is useful if you have pets.
