This is Rose Cottage in Beadnell. It’s a terrace house right in the middle of the village. There’s a pub about fifty yards away.
It sleeps six people. Three bedrooms upstairs with a family bathroom. There’s a shower room downstairs too. You can bring two dogs.
The living room has a wood burner in a big old fireplace. The kitchen is part of the same room. The back garden is enclosed, which is handy with dogs or kids.
Beadnell Beach is half a mile down the road. It’s a sandy bay, good for water sports. There’s a smaller sandy bay even closer, about two hundred yards.
Seahouses is two miles up the coast. That’s where you get the boats out to the Farne Islands to see the puffins and seals. Bamburgh is another three miles on, with the castle. You can see Holy Island from the beach there.
Alnwick is about six miles inland. The castle is there, and the Alnwick Garden with its treehouse restaurant.
For facilities: it's got a washing machine, dishwasher, wifi, and parking for one car on the drive. All the bedding and towels are included.
If you're looking into the area, these sites are good: Northumberland Coast AONB and National Trust North East. The RSPB Farne Islands page is useful for boat trip planning.
