Quay Cottage is in Seahouses, right on the harbour. It's a small, end-terrace cottage. The view from the front is straight out to sea, towards the Farne Islands. You can watch the fishing boats come and go.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both doubles, and one shower room. They're all on the ground floor. The living room and kitchen are upstairs on the first floor so you get the view. There's a small balcony off the living room.
The stairs are steep and narrow. It's an old fisherman's cottage, so that's just how it is. If you've got mobility issues or very young children, it's worth thinking about.
You're right in the middle of things. The pub is about a hundred yards away. There's a shop just up the street for basics. The beach is even closer.
For things to do, the boats to the Farne Islands leave from the harbour. It's good for seabirds and seals. Bamburgh is two miles up the coast. The castle is there, and the beach is huge. Holy Island is a drive away, but you need to check the tide times for the causeway. Alnwick and its castle are about a twenty minute drive inland.
Facilities: there's a washing machine, a TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's one parking space right outside. No pets, sorry.
