Farne Cottage is in Seahouses, just up from the harbour. It's a bungalow, so everything's on one level. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's been done up recently, it's clean and smart.
It sleeps four. Two double bedrooms, one bathroom. Both bedrooms have TVs on the wall. The living room has a wood burner. The kitchen is new and has a dishwasher. There's oak flooring through most of it.
You've got a small enclosed garden out the back. Parking is right outside.
The harbour is about a minute's walk. You can watch the boats. The main street with shops and pubs is the same. The closest beach is a few minutes further on.
People mainly come here for the boat trips to the Farne Islands to see the puffins and seals. You book those at the harbour.
Bamburgh is two miles up the road. The castle is hard to miss. The beach there is huge. Beadnell Bay is two miles the other way, good for windsurfing.
Further afield, you've got Holy Island about a 20 minute drive, but check the tide times. Alnwick with its castle and the big garden is about half an hour inland.
It's a good spot for walking the coast path. The whole stretch from here down to Druridge Bay is protected as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Facilities: Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. You can bring up to two dogs. There's a pub nearby that does food.
