Ingram Cottage

Ingram Cottage is on Front Street in Bamburgh, one house back from the main road. It's a three-bedroom place spread over two floors. It sleeps six.

You've got three bathrooms, which is handy. One is an en-suite with a bath and shower upstairs. The other two are downstairs. There's a living room and kitchen upstairs that's all open plan. The stairs down to the ground floor are a turning staircase, so mind your head on the bend. Downstairs there's a second, smaller living area and the other two bedrooms.

The garden is out the back. It's enclosed, which is good if you've brought a dog or kids. There's a patio with some furniture.

It's a 4 Star place. That means it's well-equipped and comfortable. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and Smart TVs. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair if you need them. You can bring one well-behaved dog.

Bamburgh itself is small. The castle is the main thing you see. The beach is about half a mile down the road, it's a proper wide sandy beach. There are a few pubs, cafes, and a shop in the village. The Grace Darling Museum is here too.

Seahouses is the next village along, about two miles south. You can get boat trips from there out to the Farne Islands to see the seabirds and seals. The trips are run by a few different local boats.

If you drive for half an hour or so, you can get to Alnwick. Alnwick Castle and the Alnwick Garden are there. Craster is along the coast for a walk to Dunstanburgh Castle. Holy Island is about a 20-minute drive, but you have to check the tide times for the causeway.
