This is our place, The Beach House. It's in Beadnell, right on the sea front. Detached, so no neighbours through the walls. It sleeps six, three bedrooms and two bathrooms.
It's got a four star rating. The main thing is the view. The living room is open plan with big windows looking straight out to sea. There's a wood burner for chilly nights. The kitchen's got a centre island, granite tops, that sort of thing. There's also a separate playroom for kids if you need to shut the door on the toys.
A small sandy bay is directly opposite. The big, main beach Beadnell is famous for is about a hundred yards to the left. You can walk for miles. It's very popular for watersports.
The stairs inside are fine, nothing unusual. The garden is enclosed. Parking is on the drive.
Beadnell village has a shop about 200 yards away. There's a pub that does food about 400 yards up the road. You can walk to both.
Seahouses is two miles north. That's where you get the boat trips out to the Farne Islands. Bamburgh with its castle is another three miles up the coast. Alnwick with the castle and garden is about a twenty minute drive inland.
In terms of what's here, it's all the basics: WiFi, TV, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There's no pet allowance, sorry.
If you're planning trips, the Northumberland Coast AONB site is useful, and a lot of the big attractions like the castles are looked after by English Heritage.
