The Beach House

The Beach House is in Beadnell, right on the sea front. It's detached, so no neighbours through the walls. The garden is enclosed, which is good if you've got kids or a dog. Sorry, no pets though.

It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well looked after. The main living area is open plan with big windows looking straight out to sea. There's a wood burner for chilly nights. The stairs are fine, just a normal staircase.

There's a playroom, which is handy if the weather turns. The kitchen's got a dishwasher and a washing machine. All bedding and towels are included. You can park on the drive.

You're opposite a small sandy bay, and the main beach at Beadnell Bay is about a hundred yards away. It's a great beach for swimming or just walking. Seahouses is a couple of miles up the coast for boat trips to the Farne Islands.

In the village, there's a shop about 200 yards away and a pub doing food about 400 yards. It's all walkable.

If you want to explore further, Bamburgh with its castle is about three miles north. Alnwick Castle and the Alnwick Garden are about a 20 minute drive inland. The whole coast here is good for walking.
