White Stag Cottage is in Bamburgh. It's a detached cottage just off the main street, about ten minutes walk from the beach. You've got your own driveway and a good-sized garden.
It sleeps seven. Three bedrooms, one family bathroom. It's got a 5 Star rating because it's been done up to a high standard. Everything is new and clean. The stairs are fine.
We're on the edge of the village, so your garden looks out over fields. You get a clear view of the castle from the back. There's a patio with outdoor furniture and a fire pit. Inside, there's a wood burner in the living room. All the bedrooms have TVs. The main bedroom has an ensuite shower room, and there's a family bathroom with a bath and a separate power shower.
Bamburgh itself is small. You've got a few pubs, a couple of shops, and the famous castle. The beach is massive and rarely busy. The Bamburgh Castle is worth a visit. The RNLI Grace Darling Museum is in the village too.
Seahouses is the next village along, about two miles south. That's where you get boat trips out to the Farne Islands to see the seals and seabirds. The local golf course is just outside the village.
Within half an hour you can get to Alnwick for the castle and the gardens, or Holy Island for Lindisfarne Castle and the priory. Craster, for kippers and a walk to Dunstanburgh Castle, is about 20 minutes south. If you fancy a longer drive, the Northumberland National Park isn't far.
Facilities: there's parking, an enclosed garden, a BBQ, a washing machine, a dishwasher, WiFi, and a travel cot and highchair if you need them. Bedding and towels are included. It's not suitable for pets.
