Melandra is in Middleton, which is a small village in Northumberland. It's a terraced cottage, one of a row. It sleeps four, with two bedrooms and one bathroom. It has a 4 Star rating.
The cottage has been fully renovated. There's a wood burning stove in the living room. Downstairs there's also a separate dining room, a kitchen, and a small cloakroom. Upstairs are the bedrooms and bathroom. The garden is enclosed, with a lawn and a patio. You can park two cars off the road.
Belford village is just over a mile away. It has a shop, a couple of pubs that do food, and a tea room. The coast at Bamburgh is about six miles east. The beach is huge and sandy, and the castle is worth a visit. Wooler is twelve miles west, at the foot of the Cheviot hills. It's good for walkers and cyclists.
For a day out, Alnwick and its castle are 15 miles south. The Alnwick Garden is there too, with its big treehouse restaurant. Berwick-upon-Tweed is 15 miles north. Newcastle and Edinburgh are both about an hour's drive away.
The place has the things you'd expect: a washing machine, dishwasher, TV, and wifi. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
