Melandra is in Middleton, just outside Belford. It's a terraced cottage, stone built like the others in the row. You've got your own enclosed garden out the back, mostly lawn with a patio bit. It's not huge, but it's fine for sitting out or letting a dog have a run around. Parking for two cars is right there.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms upstairs and one bathroom. The stairs are a typical cottage staircase, so they're a bit narrow and turn halfway up. The kitchen is new and has everything you'd need. There's a wood burner in the living room. It makes the place very cosy. We leave logs for you.
Belford village is about a mile away. It's got a couple of shops for basics and a few pubs that do food. The coast is close. Bamburgh beach and its castle are about ten minutes in the car. The beach is massive and sandy. Holy Island is a bit further, but you need to check the tide times for the causeway.
Alnwick is about twenty minutes south. The castle is the main thing there, and the gardens are worth seeing. Berwick-upon-Tweed is about the same drive north, just over the border. For a longer day out, Newcastle or Edinburgh are roughly an hour's drive.
The facilities are all there. Washing machine, dishwasher, wifi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
