This is The Haven. It's a terraced cottage on Holy Island. You drive over the causeway to get here. Check the tide times, you don't want to get caught.
It sleeps six. There are two bedrooms upstairs, one king and one twin that you can push together for a double if you prefer. The sofa downstairs also folds out into a double bed. There's one bathroom with a big free standing bath and a separate shower.
The main thing about this place is the view. The front room looks out over the garden straight towards Lindisfarne Castle. You can sit and watch the light change on it through the day. There's a wood burner for chilly nights.
It was all done up in 2019 so it feels fresh. The kitchen has a dishwasher.
You're right in the village. A pub, a shop, and places to eat are about fifty yards away. The beach is a few minutes' walk. The garden is private and enclosed.
We're rated 4 Star. The place is wheelchair accessible at the entrance, and we've got a stairgate and cot if you need them.
You can bring up to two dogs. They'll need leads around the island because of the birds.
If you're planning trips out, the castle and Lindisfarne Priory are the main things here. For wider Northumberland, Northumberland Coast National Landscape has good walking maps, and National Trust Lindisfarne Castle for booking.
Bamburgh Castle is about twenty minutes' drive once you're back on the mainland. Alnwick Castle and Gardens are just under an hour north.
