Eider Cottage
Eider Cottage is in Waren Mill. It's a small hamlet right by the sea, one of a row of four old stone cottages. They were for fishermen, then mill workers. Now they're holiday homes.
It sleeps four people. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-equipped. There's a wood burning stove in the lounge, in a big old fireplace. It's warm and homely.
You're basically on the coast. The sea is just down the lane. The cottage has a small enclosed patio out the back. It's shared with the other cottages but it's a nice spot if you want to sit outside.
For a bigger beach, Bamburgh is about ten minutes in the car. The castle is there too. Holy Island is maybe twenty minutes away, but you have to check the tide times. Northumberland Coast National Landscape covers all that coast. It's good for walking.
Alnwick is about twenty minutes by car. That's where the castle and the famous garden are. Warkworth Castle is in the other direction, similar distance.
Inside, it's all clean and presented nicely. You get bedding included, a washing machine, a dishwasher, wifi, and parking right there. No pets though, sorry.
