Eider Cottage
Eider Cottage is in Waren Mill. It's a hamlet by the sea, just a few minutes walk from the water. The cottage is one of four in a row, built from the local whinstone stone. They used to be for fishermen and mill workers, but they're holiday homes now.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, and two bathrooms, which is handy. It has a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well looked after.
There's a wood burning stove in the living room. It's in a proper old inglenook fireplace. It makes the place very cosy in the evenings.
Outside, there's a patio area at the back. It's enclosed and shared with the other cottages, but it's a nice spot to sit out.
The facilities are what you'd need: WiFi, a washing machine, a dishwasher. Bedding is included. You can park right outside.
No pets, I'm afraid.
For getting out, you're right next to the coast path. You can walk for miles. Bamburgh Castle is about a ten minute drive up the coast, and Holy Island is maybe twenty minutes away, but you have to check the tide times. Seahouses is just along the road for boat trips to the Farne Islands.
