Mains Cottage
Mains Cottage is on our farm in Belford. It's on the end of a row with three other cottages. We live next door. The cottage looks out over the fields.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms, both with showers. One is an ensuite off the main bedroom. It's all on the ground floor once you're inside, apart from one step up from the kitchen. It's got a 4 Star rating. Everything's fairly new and it's kept clean.
You're on a working farm. There's sheep and crops. It's quiet. You can sit out on the patio.
Belford village is about a mile and a half away. There's a Co-op for groceries, a few pubs that do food, and a cafe.
The coast is close. Bamburgh is about six miles. It's got a huge beach and the castle. Holy Island is a drive and depends on the tide times. Berwick-upon-Tweed is 15 miles north, Alnwick is 15 miles south. Both have bigger shops. Alnwick Castle and its gardens are worth a visit.
For walking, you've got the St Cuthbert's Way nearby and the Cheviot hills aren't far. The beach at Bamburgh is good for long walks.
What's here: there's a washing machine, dishwasher, TV, parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. We can put a cot and highchair in if you need them. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
