Mains Cottage is on our farm, just next to our house. It's the end one in a short terrace of three cottages. You look out over the fields from the back.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, two shower rooms. One’s an en-suite. It’s got a 4 Star rating, so it’s comfortable and well-equipped. Everything’s on one level, except one step up from the kitchen.
You’re on a working farm, so you’ll see tractors and sheep. It's quiet. There’s a patio with a table.
Belford village is about a mile and a half away. It’s got a small Co-op, a few pubs, and a cafe. The nearest proper beach is at Bamburgh, about six miles east. The castle there is worth a visit. The beach is huge.
Alnwick with its castle and gardens is 15 miles south. Berwick-upon-Tweed is 15 miles north. Holy Island is about a 20 minute drive, but you have to check the tide times. Wooler is 10 miles west if you want to get into the Cheviot hills for walking.
Inside, there’s a washing machine, dishwasher, TV, and parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
