Cranesbill is in Waren Mill, just outside Bamburgh. It's a detached lodge, so no one attached. You're down in this old quarry. The main thing is the windows. The whole front of the living area is glass, floor to ceiling. You get a view straight out to the quarry rocks on one side, and you can see the castle from the other.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. One of the king rooms has its own shower. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's well done. The kitchen is good. There's a wood burner, and they leave you some logs.
Outside there's a deck with sofas. It's peaceful. Because you're in the quarry, it's sheltered.
Bamburgh village is about a mile away. You've got the castle, obviously. The beach is massive. There's a few places for tea and food. Seahouses is a couple of miles along the coast for boat trips to the Farne Islands. You see a lot of birds. Seals too, sometimes.
For a bigger day out, Northumberland National Park is about half an hour inland. Alnwick with its castle and gardens is maybe twenty minutes south.
Facilities: it has pretty much everything. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. Parking right there. The whole place is on one level, so no stairs inside. It's all wheelchair friendly.
