Stable Cottage is what it says on the tin. It used to be the coach house and stables for the big house here on the edge of Belford. It's detached, so it's just you.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both with their own bathroom, which is handy. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's comfortable and clean without being over the top. There's a woodburning stove for the colder nights.
You've got all the basics: a dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, TV. The garden's yours to use, and there's parking right there.
The views are the main thing. It looks out over fields, and you can see the sea from here. The village is a two minute walk. There's a shop, a farm shop, and a couple of pubs. You don't need to drive if you don't want to.
Bamburgh is five miles up the road. You can't miss the castle. The beach there is huge. Alnwick and Berwick are about fifteen miles either way, both good for a wander and a bit of shopping.
If you want to explore, Holy Island is a short drive away, but check the tide times. The Northumberland coast path is right there for walking. The Northumberland National Park and the Northumberland Coast National Landscape aren't far either.
Just to be clear about the stairs. They're the original ones, so they're a bit steep and narrow. Nothing drastic, but you need to watch your step.
We take one well-behaved dog. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them.
