Fordson is a bungalow in Warenford. It’s one of five cottages here, all detached or semi-detached. You get your own patio and garden. The village is quiet, just a few houses really. There's a stream at the bottom of the garden.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well kept. Everything's on one floor, which is handy for some.
There's a pub about thirty yards away. It does food. For a shop, you'll need to drive to Belford or Seahouses, about five minutes.
You're about five miles from Bamburgh and its beach. The beach is huge and sandy. Seahouses is the same sort of distance. That's where you get the boats out to the Farne Islands to see the puffins and seals. Book in advance.
Holy Island is a short drive away. You have to check the tide times for the causeway. It's a special place. The castle and priory are worth seeing.
Alnwick Castle and its gardens are about twenty minutes' drive. The castle was used in the Harry Potter films. The gardens are massive, with all sorts of themed areas and fountains.
There's a shared tennis court you can use. There’s also a shared sauna and a small gym on the site.
Facilities: it has a dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, and TV. Bedding is included. There's a cot if you need it. Parking is right outside. You can bring up to two dogs.
