Ashleigh House is in Belford village. It's a house. It's not huge, but it's comfortable.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's nicer than just the basics. The thing about old houses is the stairs. They are steep. There are a couple of small steps between rooms as well. It's just how the place was built.
You get a garden with a patio. There's a chiminea out there. Inside, there's a wood burner in the main living room and a second living area if people want some separate space. It has all the usual things: washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs.
Belford has a shop, a tearoom, and a couple of pubs. You can walk to them. The A1 is a mile away, which makes getting to places easy.
Bamburgh is about ten minutes by car. Great beach, huge castle. The beach goes on for miles. Alnwick is twenty minutes south. The castle is famous, and the formal Alnwick Garden is there if that's your thing. Berwick-upon-Tweed is about twenty minutes north.
For walking, you're right by the coast and close to the Cheviot hills. The Northumberland National Park and the Northumberland Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty are all around here. Holy Island (Lindisfarne) is a short drive away, but you must check the tide times for the causeway.
Newcastle and Edinburgh are both about an hour's drive if you want a city day.
There is parking on site.
