Aidan Cottage is in Holburn, Northumberland. It's a 150 year old end-of-terrace cottage. There are a couple of other cottages nearby. The views over the fields are the main thing. They're very good.
It sleeps four in two bedrooms. There's one bathroom with a separate shower. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's been done up nicely but it's still an old cottage. The ceilings are low in places.
You can bring two dogs. The garden is enclosed. There's parking right outside.
Inside, there's an open fire in the lounge and a wood burner in the kitchen. The kitchen is a decent size. It has a dishwasher and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's Wi-Fi.
The area is very quiet. It's properly rural. For a shop or a pub, you'd need to drive. Alnwick is about a 20 minute drive. It's got the castle and the famous treehouse. The National Trust has a lot of sites nearby like Lindisfarne Castle.
Bamburgh Castle and its beach are about half an hour away. Craster for kippers and a walk to Dunstanburgh Castle is also within half an hour. The Northumberland Coast site is useful for planning.
If you like golf, there's a course nearby. It's also a good spot for fishing or just for walking with very few people around.
