Tarn House
Tarn House is in Wooler. It's a stone-built terrace house, right in the town. You get the garden at the back, which is enclosed. It's quiet out there.
The house sleeps six. Three upstairs bedrooms, one bathroom. It's a 4 Star place. It's comfortable and well-equipped. The stairs are standard for a house like this.
You're a couple of minutes' walk from Wooler High Street. There are shops, a co-op, cafes, and a few pubs. The closest one does good food. For a walk from the door, you can follow the river.
You're right on the edge of the Northumberland National Park. The Cheviot hills are right there for walking. For the coast, it's about a twenty-minute drive. Bamburgh Castle is stunning. Seahouses is where you get boats out to the Farne Islands to see the puffins. Holy Island is about half an hour, but you have to check the tide times.
Further afield, you can drive to Alnwick Castle or up to Berwick-upon-Tweed in under forty minutes. The train from Berwick goes to Edinburgh or Newcastle in about an hour.
For the house itself, it's got a kitchen with a dishwasher, a washing machine, a TV, and wifi. Bedding and towels are included. There's on-site parking for one car. You can bring up to two dogs. We provide a cot and a highchair if you need them.
