Farmside Cottage

Farmside Cottage is in Chatton, out on the edge of the village. It looks over fields towards the Kyloe Hills. The view is good, especially in the evening.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom downstairs. It's got a 4 Star rating. The shower is a big walk-in one. The living room has a proper inglenook fireplace. The stairs are typical cottage stairs, so a bit steeper than modern ones.

You can walk to the village pub. It does food. There's a village shop too, and an art gallery. The cottage has a patio with a table and a BBQ. It's a suntrap when the weather's right.

For a bigger shop, Wooler is about four miles away. They've got pubs, restaurants, a post office, and a chemist.

You're well placed here. The coast is about twenty minutes by car. Bamburgh is the main one, with its castle and a good golf course. Seahouses is the place to get a boat out to the Farne Islands to see the seabirds and seals. Inland, you're right by the Northumberland National Park for walking. The St Cuthberts Way long-distance path goes through here.

Chillingham Castle is a couple of miles away if you fancy that. They do tours.

Facilities: there's parking, WiFi, a washing machine, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs.
