Maisie's Cottage is ours. It's up at Haugh Head, just outside Wooler. It's a one-bedroom place, detached, so you're on your own. It's all on the ground floor, which is handy.
It sleeps two. Bedroom, bathroom, open plan living area. It's got a 3 Star rating, which means it's clean and works properly but it's no frills. The patio doors open straight out onto a deck with a couple of chairs. You get the view over the fields.
The place is in a tiny hamlet called North Middleton. It's very quiet. You can walk straight out the door onto paths. The St Cuthbert's Way passes nearby if you're after a long walk.
Wooler is about a mile and a half down the road. It's a small market town. There are a few pubs, cafes, and shops. It does the job for basics.
You're right on the edge of the Northumberland National Park. The Cheviot hills are there for walking. Holy Island is about half an hour's drive away, but you need to check the tide times. Alnwick with its castle and gardens is maybe 25 minutes. The coast at Bamburgh is about 25 minutes too.
Inside, it's got what you'd expect: TV, shower, washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. You can bring one dog. Parking is right outside.
