West House

West House is on the main street in Wooler. It's a stone house built in the 1830s. It's got high ceilings and the original stone walls are exposed in places. It's comfy, but it's an old house so the layout is what it is.

It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, one bathroom. It has a 4 Star rating. There's a wood burner in a big inglenook fireplace. The stairs are fairly steep, just so you know.

Out the back there's a small, enclosed area with a hot tub. It's private.

You're right in the town. The shops, cafes, and a couple of pubs are about a two-minute walk. One of them does food. The town's got a proper market feel to it.

You're on the edge of the Northumberland National Park. The Cheviot hills start just outside town. St Cuthbert's Way, that long-distance path, goes right through Wooler.

For the coast, it's about a 25-minute drive to Bamburgh. You've got the castle and a massive beach there. Holy Island is about the same distance, but you have to check the tide times for the causeway. Berwick-upon-Tweed is 15 miles east.

Facilities: there's a washing machine, dishwasher, wifi, and a highchair. Bedding and towels are included. One well-behaved dog is allowed.
