West House

West House is in the middle of Wooler. It's a stone house, built in 1836. It sleeps six people in three bedrooms. There's one bathroom.

It's a 4 Star place, which means it's more comfortable than the basics. There's a wood burner in an inglenook fireplace. The ceilings are high. It's been done up, but it still feels like an old house.

You have a private, enclosed garden out the back with a hot tub.

The front door opens right onto the high street. The shops, pubs, and cafes are about a two-minute walk. It's a proper market town, but it's small. You're on the edge of the Northumberland National Park.

You can walk straight out onto the St Cuthbert's Way from here. For driving, you're about 15 miles from the coast. Bamburgh is that way, with its castle and beach. Holy Island is about 14 miles. Hadrian's Wall is under an hour's drive. So is the Scottish border.

The facilities are what you'd expect: washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a highchair if you need one. You can bring one dog.
