Railway Cottage is in Kirknewton, at the very edge of the Northumberland National Park. It's an end-terrace stone cottage, one of three that used to be railway houses. It's been fully refurbished.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's a 3 Star place, so it's comfortable and clean. The kitchen has slate floors, an oak worktop and a Belfast sink. The living room has an open fire. The main thing about it is the view. You look straight out over the College Valley towards the Cheviot Hills. It's all heather and open land.
You're right on the edge of the National Park for walking. The coast at Bamburgh and Holy Island is about a 30 minute drive. Wooler is the nearest town for shops, that's about ten minutes by car. The local pub in Kirknewton does food, it's a pleasant walk.
For facilities: there's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV, and parking. The garden is enclosed. You can bring one dog. Bedding is included.
