Sandyhouse Cottage is near Milfield in Northumberland. It’s semi-detached, with its own garden. You can see the Cheviot Hills from the windows. It’s part of the Northumberland National Park.
It sleeps five. Three bedrooms, one bathroom. It’s got a 4 Star rating, so it’s comfortable and well set up. There’s a woodburning stove for cooler evenings.

Milfield is about a mile away. It has a pub, a café and a local shop. Wooler is seven miles for more shops. The National Trust looks after a lot of the coast and castles around here.
You’re well placed for the coast. Holy Island and the beaches like Goswick are under half an hour’s drive. Seahouses, for boat trips to the Farne Islands, is about 25 minutes. The castles at Bamburgh, Alnwick and Dunstanburgh are all within 30 minutes.
For walking, St Cuthbert’s Way and the Pennine Cycle Route are close by. You can see Yeavering Bell from the house, which is an Iron Age hill fort. From Berwick, you can get a train to Newcastle or Edinburgh in under an hour.
