Whitton View Nr Wooler
Whitton View is a stone cottage on the roadside in Milfield. It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable.
There's no garden, but you can walk to the village shop and a cafe that doubles as the Northumberland National Park information point. The pub, The Red Lion, is an old coaching inn. They serve food and real ale.
The stairs inside are steep and narrow. Just so you know.
In terms of things to do, fishing permits for the River Till are available locally. You can arrange horse riding at stables a couple of miles away. The Milfield Gliding Club is here if that's your sort of thing.
You're well placed for the Northumberland coast and the Cheviot hills. Wooler is about three miles away for more shops. The Scottish Borders are close. Alnwick Castle, Bamburgh Castle, and the Holy Island causeway are all within a 30 minute drive.
The cottage has a washing machine, dishwasher, TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. No pets.
