The Granary is a converted farm building on our property at West Moneylaws, near Cornhill-on-Tweed. It's just you and the countryside out here. It sleeps two, with one bedroom and bathroom.
It's an upside-down house. You walk in the front door straight into the bedroom. That's handy for getting your bags in. The main living area and kitchen are upstairs. There's a wood burner up there. The stairs to the living room are accessed from a side door, they're quite steep, just so you know.
You've got a private patio area outside. There's parking right there. We have alpacas on the farm, and you can book a trek with them during your stay if you fancy it.
Berwick-upon-Tweed is about ten minutes away by car. It's got shops, supermarkets, and a railway station. The coast there is good for walks. For a bigger beach, Goswick Sands is a few miles down the coast, it's a long stretch of sand.
You're well placed for the big sights. Holy Island is about twenty minutes drive, but you must check the tide times for the crossing. Bamburgh Castle is maybe half an hour. Alnwick Castle and Gardens is about forty minutes.
It's a strange bit of geography, but you can drive to central Edinburgh in just over an hour, or into Newcastle in about the same time.
Facilities: everything's included - bedding, towels, wifi, electricity. There's a dishwasher and washing machine. We can provide a cot and highchair. Two well-behaved dogs are welcome.
