Lakeview
Lakeview is a cottage on the Hirsel Estate, near Coldstream. It's one of two next to each other. The place looks out over the 18-hole golf course, so you get that view.
It sleeps four in two bedrooms. There's one bathroom, and a separate wet room on the ground floor which is handy. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well looked after.
The garden is yours to use. There's a woodburning stove for cooler evenings, and the wifi works. Everything like bedding, towels, and electricity is included. There's parking right there.
The cottage is about a mile from a shop and a pub. On the estate itself, there's a tea room, a few craft workshops, and a museum. You can walk straight out from the door onto the estate paths. The lake is nearby, which is known for otters and birds. Dundock Wood is full of rhododendrons and azaleas in May and June.
Berwick-upon-Tweed and the coast is about half an hour's drive east. Edinburgh is just over an hour away if you want a day in the city. There are beaches on the Northumbrian coast within about 30 minutes too.
