Ray Bells is over in Coldstream, on the Hirsel Estate. It's one of a pair of cottages there.
It's for two people. One bedroom with the bathroom attached. They call it a 4 Star, so it's a bit nicer inside, comfortable. It's open plan downstairs, with a wood burner. Does get cosy.
You're on the edge of the estate golf course. The main house isn't far, where there's a tea room and a museum. Good walks right from the door, around the lake and through Dundock Wood. The rhododendrons there are something else in May and June.
Coldstream itself has a shop and a pub, about a mile away. Berwick-upon-Tweed is 18 miles for the coast. The Northumberland beaches, like Bamburgh, are about half an hour's drive. Edinburgh's an hour if you fancy a city day.
It has parking right outside. Washing machine, WiFi, TV. All the bedding and towels are there. No pets, I'm afraid.
