Thistle Dee

Thistle Dee is a house in Wooler. It's in a quiet bit, but you can walk into the town centre in a few minutes. The town sits at the bottom of the Cheviot Hills.

It sleeps seven. Four bedrooms, two bathrooms. One of the bedrooms and a bathroom are on the ground floor, which is handy. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-equipped. The stairs inside are a bit steep and narrow in parts. They're fine, just be aware.

There's a wood burner in the living room. A dining room you can all fit in. Three parking spaces off the road round the side. There's a small outside area with a table and chairs.

Facilities wise: everything's included. Bedding, towels, WiFi, washing machine, dishwasher. We can take up to two dogs. There's a highchair if you need one.

Wooler has pubs, cafes, and shops about 250 yards away. It's a proper market town. There's a visitor centre called Ad Gefrin nearby with a museum and whisky distillery if that interests you.

For walking, you can pick up St Cuthbert's Way right from the door. It goes all the way to Lindisfarne. The house is also on the Sandstone Way route for mountain biking.

The coast is about 15 miles east. Bamburgh Castle is there, and beautiful beaches. Holy Island is 14 miles away, but you have to check the tide times for the causeway. Berwick-upon-Tweed is 15 miles north. It's got a nice beach and more history.
