Hetton Byre is in Holburn, Northumberland. It's a semi-detached cottage. I own it and live in the house right next door.
It's for two people. There's one bedroom and an ensuite shower room. It's got a 4 Star rating. Everything's on the ground floor. The doorway is wide, so it's okay if you use a wheelchair to get in, but the bathroom door inside is a standard width.
It's open plan. There's a wood burner. You get the garden to yourselves, it's enclosed. There's a patio out there with a barbecue. Parking is right outside.
The facilities are what you'd expect: a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. We've got a cot and a highchair if you need them. You can bring up to two dogs.
It's very quiet here. The views from the garden are over open fields. The nearest shop and pub are in Chatton, about four miles away. For a bigger shop, Belford is five miles.
Bamburgh and its castle are about a fifteen minute drive east. The beach there is good. Holy Island, Lindisfarne, is a bit further, but you need to check the tide times. Wooler is to the west, at the foot of the Cheviots, if you want to walk. Alnwick Castle and Gardens are about half an hour south.
