Dovecote House

Dovecote House is in Wooler, Northumberland. It's a Victorian terraced house on the edge of the Northumberland National Park, up on the hill above the town.

It sleeps five people. Three bedrooms upstairs, one bathroom. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well looked after.

There are a few things that are a bit different. It's on a slope, so the garden is terraced. The main living space is the kitchen, downstairs. It's big, with sofas and a wood burner. There's a separate sitting room upstairs, which is quieter and has a nice view of the hills.

You've got a shop, a pub, and a restaurant about three minutes' walk away, down the hill.

For getting out, you're in a good spot. You can walk straight out into the Cheviot hills from the door. The coast is about twenty minutes drive. Bamburgh Castle beach is about half an hour. Seahouses is there for boat trips to the Farne Islands. Holy Island is a bit further, but you need to check the tide times to get across the causeway.

Alnwick Castle and Gardens is about a twenty-five minute drive. The Northumberland National Park starts right here.

In the house, there's a washing machine, dishwasher, wifi, and towels and bedding are provided. No pets.
