Curlew Cottage
Curlew Cottage is on our farm in Belford. It's a terrace house, the middle one of three. It sleeps five. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms.
The rating is 4 Star. It's comfortable and clean. The front looks out towards the sea. The back has a gravel terrace and a bit of garden, with views over our fields.
You're on a working farm, so you'll see and hear farm things. Tractors, sheep, that sort of thing.
The village is about a mile and a half away. There's a shop, a pub, and a restaurant. For a beach, Budle Bay or Bamburgh are about four miles. Good sand, lots of space.
Holy Island, Lindisfarne, is a big draw. You have to check the tide times to drive over. It's about a 15 minute drive from here to the causeway. Berwick-upon-Tweed is north, Alnwick is south. Both are about half an hour by car. Alnwick Castle is the one from the Harry Potter films.
In terms of facilities, it's all there: washing machine, dishwasher, TV, parking. Bedding and towels are included. We can take one well-behaved dog.
