Curlew Cottage
Curlew Cottage is here on our farm just outside Belford. It's a mid-terraced house, so you've got neighbours on one side. The front looks out over the fields towards the sea. The back has a gravelled terrace and a bit of garden with a view of the farm.
It sleeps five. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms, which is handy. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and clean. The stairs are standard for a cottage.
You're on a working farm, so you'll see sheep and tractors about. It's quiet though.
Belford village is about a mile and a half away. There's a shop, a couple of pubs that do food, and a chip shop. For a beach, Budle Bay is about ten minutes in the car. Bamburgh is a bit further, maybe fifteen minutes. That beach is huge.
Holy Island is a big draw. You need to check the tide times to drive across. It's about twenty minutes from here, plus crossing time. Alnwick is fifteen minutes south. The castle is the main thing, and the treehouse restaurant is good. The Alnwick Garden is worth a visit too.
For walking, you can pick up St. Oswald's Way or the Northumberland Coastal Path nearby. If you like golf, there's a course at Bamburgh.
Facilities: there's parking right outside. Washing machine, dishwasher, TV. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring one dog.
