Swan's Nest is in Belford, which is a decent village about four miles inland. It's one of two cottages in a small courtyard. The owners also run the pub next door. You can hear the music from there at the weekend.
It sleeps four in three bedrooms. One bathroom, and it's on the ground floor which is handy. The rating is 3 Star. That means it's comfortable and clean, not luxurious.
You get your own bit of patio. There's a shared BBQ in the courtyard if you want to use it. Inside it's open plan. You've got a washing machine, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. Parking is right there.
The village has what you need. There's a supermarket a few minutes walk away. A couple of other pubs, some shops and cafes. The local museum is worth a look.
For getting out, you're in a good spot. The coast is about ten minutes by car. Bamburgh Castle is close, you can see it from the beach. Seahouses is where you get boat trips to the Farne Islands. Holy Island is a short drive away, but you must check the tide times for the crossing. Inland, you've got the Northumberland National Park for walking. It's about half an hour to the edge of it.
Useful links if you're planning: Northumberland National Park and National Trust North East. The National Trust looks after a lot of the coastline here.
You can bring up to four dogs. There's no extra charge for them.
