This is Glebe Cottage. It's in Bamburgh, just behind the old vicarage building called The Glebe. It's a ground floor cottage, which is handy. The main bedroom has French doors that open out onto a private patio and garden. The view from there looks straight towards the castle.
It sleeps four people in two bedrooms. There's one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. We've done it up but it's still a 19th century cottage, so expect things like low beams. You can bring one dog.
The garden is enclosed. There's parking right outside the cottage. Inside, there's a washing machine, a dishwasher, and wifi. We provide bedding and towels. We can also provide a cot and a highchair if you need them.
You're right in the village. The beach is a five minute walk. There's a local pub nearby. For a bigger shop, you'd need to drive. The castle is the main thing here. Bamburgh Castle is worth a visit.
You're on the coast, so walking the beach or the Northumberland Coast Path is the main activity. For a day out, The Farne Islands for the birds and seals are about a 15 minute drive to Seahouses for the boat trips. Holy Island is about 20 minutes drive away, but check the tide times. Alnwick with its castle and garden is just under half an hour.
