Wayside is a detached house in Beadnell. It's in the older part of the village, which is quieter. The house sleeps six, with three bedrooms. There's one bedroom and a family bathroom on the ground floor. The other two bedrooms are upstairs.
It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well-kept. The main room at the front has big windows looking out over fields. The kitchen is modern and has a dishwasher. There's a separate dining room. Through a door from the kitchen there's a room with a full-sized pool table. The cues are a bit short for some shots against the wall, but you manage. There's also a small second living room, which is handy if kids want their own space.
The garden is enclosed, which is good for dogs. We don't allow pets, sorry. There's parking for one car on the drive.
Beadnell itself is small. There's a shop about five minutes walk away. The village pub is a couple of minutes walk, they do food. The beach is about a ten minute walk. It's sandy, good for families. It's popular for water sports.
Seahouses is about two miles up the coast. You can get boat trips from the harbour there out to the Farne Islands. It's great for seabirds and seals. Seahouses has more shops and cafes.
Bamburgh is another three miles beyond that. The castle is massive, you can see it for miles. The beach there is huge. Further up the coast, you can see Holy Island from some spots.
Inland, Alnwick is about a twenty minute drive. The castle is worth a visit, and the Alnwick Garden is popular. The market town is busy.
For walking, you're right on the Northumberland Coast. It's a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The coast path is easy to pick up.
