Gan Hyem

Gan Hyem is a bungalow in Beadnell. It's on a small cul-de-sac. It’s all ground floor, so no stairs to worry about.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms: one double and one twin. One bathroom. It’s got a 4 Star rating. It's clean and comfortable and you can bring up to two dogs.

The back garden is a decent size, it’s lawned and gets the sun in the afternoon. You can sit out there.

You’re a couple of minutes' walk from the beach. It starts as a small bay with some rocks and opens out into a long, sandy beach that goes all the way to Seahouses. People do water sports there.

There’s a village shop about three hundred yards away. The pub is about the same distance, it does food. The Craster Arms.

Seahouses is two miles north. That’s where you get the boats out to the Farne Islands. It's good for puffins and seals. You can book trips from the harbour. There are a few places to eat there.

Bamburgh is about five miles up the coast. The castle is the main thing. It’s very big. The beach there is massive.

Alnwick is inland, maybe fifteen minutes by car. Alnwick Castle and the Gardens are there. The treehouse restaurant is part of the gardens.

The facilities are what you’d expect: WiFi, TV, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There’s parking for one car on the drive.
